Therefore, the Trefftz Element Method are gradually taken seriously both at home and abroad. This paper is divided into three parts to study the Trefftz Finite Element Method and the related numerical technology. In the first part, the Trefftz Finite Element Method is used to solve the problem of steady seepage of free surface. This paper proposed a method combining adaptive meshing technology and Trefftz Finite Element Method, which can effectively make up for the problem that the tradition Element Method could lead to less accuracy under the condition of mesh distortion. Numerical results show a good agreement with experiment solutions or analytical solutions. In the second part, the Trefftz Element Method is used to solve the potential problems of orthotropic axisymmetric. The problems have a wide application in engineering, but in general it is a three-dimensional problem. This part only study the situation that the solving domain and the external load are axisymmetric. First of all, we assumed two independent potential interpolation mode: inter-element potential field and frame potential field, then apply the modified variational function and Gaussian divergence theorem to eliminate regional integration.
