Determination and evaluation of ethanol in vivo has been the main task of forensic toxicological analysis in the cases of traffic accident, alcohol or drug abuse, occupational health and poison intoxication. The biomarkers of ethanol present more advantages over ethanol itself in terms of sensitivity, specificity, detection window, identification ability and application areas.
