杭樨英与月份牌画艺术摘 杭樨英与月份牌画艺术 摘 要 老上海的月份牌源于19世纪末，是外商致力于洋货倾销而雇用中国人绘制的一 种广告绘画，最初它采用中国传统年画形式并配有年历，故称其为月份牌画，表现内 容多以年轻女性为主。月份牌画强调大众消遣娱乐性，体现了市民大众的理想，以其 商业性、描画的逼真赢得了广大城乡民众的喜爱，因而广为流行。1914年郑曼陀独 创的“擦笔水彩画法”受到时人的普遍欢迎，从此便在月份牌画中广泛使用。当时上 海出现了一大批专业的月份牌画家，其中，杭樨英是月份牌画史上最著名的画家之一， 贡献卓越。30年代，他创作的一批时尚女性标志着月份牌画在技法上和艺术风格上 的全面成熟。与同时代的其他艺术家相比，杭樨英把“月份牌”这个特殊的画种推向 了极致，在月份牌画家中赢得“半壁江山”的称誉。在中国近现代美术史中，杭樨英 的地位比较特殊，一方面，他作为一名从事月份牌创作的商业画家，始终不被当时的 一些正统艺术家认可，常常被作为其对立面而加以贬低，评价上不免失之公允；另一 方面，身为月份牌画家的一员，杭樨英经常与同时代的月份牌画家周慕桥、郑曼陀等 人作为一个整体被加以研究，由于偏重共性分析，而对画家及其作品的个性研究不甚 深入。笔者在本文中试图通过对时代文化背景、画家的从艺历程及具体作品的分析， 梳理杭樨英月份牌画创作的发生、演变之脉络，来研究以他为代表的月份牌画家艺术 风格形成的原因以及他的艺术特色，从而对画家在艺术史上的地位和意义做出适当评 价，同时从中揭示月份牌画这个独特的艺术品种产生和发展的根源，及其大众艺术特 征。在大众文化日益取代精英文化的今天，这一研究有着特殊的意义。 关键词：月份牌 上海 中西融合 女性 大众艺术 杭樨英与月份牌画艺术Abstract 杭樨英与月份牌画艺术 Abstract Calendar Picture ori垂nated from a kind of advertising picture drawn by some Chinese employees hired by western enterprises to promote sales．At first it took after the form of Chinese traditional Spring Festival Pictures and with single-age calendar as a supplement． So it Was called Calendar Picture．Calendar Picture took young female as its main content． Calendar Picture usually emphasized its recreational characteristiCS for the masses．and took the fancy of the people in urban，therefore became quite popular during the period of the Republic of China．When Zheng Mantuo first created Calendar Picture in the technique ofwatercolor painting by brush rubbing，and got well receive in 1914．This technique had been USed SO massively in Calendar Picture since then．There were many famous artists of Calendar Picture at that time．Hang Zhiying Was one of the most famous Calendar Picture painters．His contribution was very remarkable．In 1930，a batch ofworks by Hang Zhiying with fashionable female as its content marked Calendar Picture had become matured completely intechnique and artistic style．Compared withothercontemporaryCalendar Picture painter,Hang Zhiying promoted the development of this special artistic style．He Was apprais
