    ABSTRACT:  Objective To   establish   a   new   method   for   determination   of   aluminum   content   in   flours   and 
    dried   noodles.  Methods  In   our   experiment,   samples   were   analyzed   by   microwave   digestion   and   aluminum 
    contents in   35 samples   of   flours   and   dried noodles from  11   cities   in   Shaanxi   were   determined   by   ICP-AES. 
    Results The detection limit of this method was 0.145mg/kg. In nearly half of the samples the aluminum con- 
    tent exceeded the temporary limit standard set by EU, and along with the difference of each area in Shaanxi, the 
    content showed certain distribution features and trend characteristics. Results Compared to GB/T5009.182-2003, 
    this method is more simple, rapid and accurate. Moreover, it is easier to handle which has been satisfactorily 
    applied to determine aluminum content in flours and dried noodles.
