Teaching procedures:
Step1 Warming-up
Greeting and divide the class into 4 groups
Guess game: Who are they? T shows some superstars’ photos (about their past and now)
Ok, today we’ll talk about our changes.
Step2 Presentation
1. Prepare for let’s talk
T: According to these photos, we know: “We are all different now” (板书并带读“different”)
T: Look at this picture, where are they? What are they doing? So, they are quiet.
Look at this picture, they are active. (板书并带读“active”)
T shows a sentence: Before I was quiet. Now, I am active in class.
T: Look at the pictures, Who is he? (姚明)Can you say something about his changes?
Before, he was short/ thin/ quiet.
Now, he is tall/strong/ active.
Before, he couldn’t… Now he plays…every day.
2Let’s try
T: Who are they?( He is mike. She is Chen Jie, and he is John)
T:Yes. Today Mike’s friends are visiting his home. Please listen carefully and finish the exercise of let’s try on P36.
T: Have you got the answers? You, please! S: 1---B; 2---A
T: Pretty good.T: Now, let’s see what they’re talking about in Mike’s home. Now listen carefully!
3. Let’s talkNow, I’d like you to answer the question:”How did Mike change?”
