Help Ss to use expressions in past tense: milked a cow, fed chickens, rode a horse, talked with a farmer, went for a walk, took some photos, picked strawberries, went fishing, quite a lot.
Help Ss to master the new sentence patterns.

-Did you...? -Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.
Ability objectives:
Language skills: listening and speaking
Get Ss to master some skills to catch the information when they are listening to the recording.
Communicative function: to talk about their past activities and apply these structures in daily life.
Learning strategies: cooperative learning and learning by using the language.
Affect objectives:
Get Ss to cherish every trip.
Different kinds of interaction to motivate Ss’ passion on team work and raise their interest of oral English.
Teaching focus and difficult points:
Teaching focus:
Expressions about activities on the farm and also their past tense.
To get Ss to ask about past activities by using key sentence patterns.
Teaching difficult points:
How to guide Ss to follow the recording and get the key information they need from the listening materials.
How to get Ss involved in the team work and make dialogues according to the sentence pattern.
Teaching methods:
Communicative language teaching approach, situational language teaching approach and task-based language teaching approach.

Teaching procedures:
Step One: Lead-in (7’)
(1) Free talk.
(2) Recall the training in Moral Education Base
(3) Wechat from Carol to lead in her school trip on farm.
(4) Learn phrases and key sentence patterns by QA.
Step Two: Listen and Pair-work(10’)
Listen to Section A 1b and circle the three things Carol did.
Pair-work to practice the sentence patterns again.
Step Three: Listen and Play game(10’)
Listen to 2b and choose the right answer.
