Title： Title： Research on Stream Calculus Based on Coalgebra Major： Computer Software and Theory Name： ZhenCui Supervisor： Vice Professor Xiaochong Zhou Abst ract AlgebrMc methods investigate semantics of data types from the construc- tive points，and have been applied in many research fields，for example，data types，semantics of computer language etc．．As the dual concepts of algebras， coalgebraic methods，were not noticed by computer scientists until the 1990s， and gradually became an active area of theoretical computer science．E．rom the observable points，coalgebram methods investigate systems，and have been applied in many research fields．such as automata theoryl semantics of con- currency,specifications of object—oriented software and so on． As a new theory,coalgebraic methods are developing，and still not ma- ture．If one wants to have a comprehensive research in them，there exist many difficulties．As a specific coalgebra，stream coalgebra is relatively simple，and can help understand and study general coalgebraic methods． There is only one morphism from stream clalgebra to final coalgebra， in which states are viewed as a collection of streams．On the basis of coal- gebra，we not only study stream calculus in this paper，including streams of real numbers and bitstreams，but also implement some operation of stearns， for example，coinvolution product，shuffle product etc，Particularly,based on J．Rutten’s work，we further explore the applicatious of streams，for exain- ple，streams of real numbers are applied in difference equations；bitstreams in di百tal circuits．Then we introduce weighted stream automata and its applica- tions in coinductive counting．Fhrther more，we introduce the transformation between rational streams and weighted automata，and further design and implement the transformation from rational streams to weighted automata． 中山大学硕士学位论文 中山大学硕士学位论文 基于共代数的流演算研究 Keywords：eoalgebra，stream calculus，rational stream，bitstreams，weighted automata IV 第一章 第一章 绪论 1．1研究背景及意义 在计算机科学中，代
