AbstractWith Abstract With Chinas accession to the WTO．Chinas traditional pillar industries————textile and garment industry has made rapid development．It’S export scale continues to be expanded．Jiangsu Province，嬲an important baSe for textile and garment exports in China, it’s textile and garment industry has a very long history,and has played all important role in Jiangsus economic construction and social development．Under the dual role of the 910bal textile and garment trade into the”post—quota era”and the continuing impact of international financial crises，Jiangsu textile and garment industry ushers in a major development opportunity,but also facing tough challenges．How to maintain and enhance the export competitiveness of the industry in the new situation,will have a sigrdficant impact on the sustained,healthy and stable development of Jiangsu’s economy and textile and garment industry of the country as a whole．The thesis utilizes empirical analysis、 normative analysis and comparison of research methods，makes a systematic analysis and evaluation on Jiangsu textile and garment industrys export competitiveness． The thesis，based on the relevant literature and theoretical study of the export competitiveness，analyses textile and garment industry in the酉obal and Chinas trade status and Jiangsu textile and garment industry development and export status．Meanwhile， collecting relevant statistical data in recent years，selecting the seven commonly used indicators，making a horizontal comparison with Zhejiang,Guangdong and other provinces of China, analyses the changes in export competitiveness and relative advantages and disadvantages of Jiangsu textile and garment industry．Then using SPSS software and Factor Analysis，conducts flll overall assessment of export competitiveness of Jiangsu textile and garment industry and drawing on Porters”diamond model”， analyses the impact factors of Jiangsu textile and garment export competitiveness from the industrial environment，products
