三峡大学MTI 硕士学位论 三 峡 大 学 MTI 硕 士 学 位 论 文 万方数据 万方数据 摘 要 本次英汉翻译实践的源文本为西方绘画鉴赏类书籍《英国绘画》，译者节选了该 书的第一章节，以接受美学理论为指导进行英译汉实践。该文本在语言和文化方面都 别具一格，具有翻译实践和翻译研究的价值。 将接受美学引入翻译领域，用该理论来解读、评判翻译文本是翻译理论与实践研 究的一个重大发展。翻译目的是为读者服务，为符合读者期待，译者在翻译的过程中 必然要考虑译文的可接受性，这必定会影响译者对翻译策略的选择和运用。 本文作者在翻译实践过程中以姚斯的接受美学理论为指导，确立译文读者群并分 析源文本特点，据此确立译文的读者期待，并从语言、文化这两个显著方面对译文所 运用的翻译技巧进行详细解析。在翻译该文本过程中，作者运用多种翻译技巧，以求 在最大程度上满足读者对译文的期待和要求。希望通过此次翻译实践，为美术鉴赏类 书籍的汉译提供有效素材，并为其他译者提供一定的参考。 关键词：接受美学；西方绘画鉴赏；《英国绘画》；翻译技巧 i Abstract The source text of this translation practice is an excerpt from Britain’s Painting, a book on the appreciation of western paintings. The author chooses the first chapter of the book and translates it from English to Chinese in reference to the theory of Reception Aesthetics. The source text is unique in language and culture, which demonstrates high value in translation and translation research. It is a big step in the field of translation that introduces the theory of reception aesthetics into translation and then adopts the theory to interpret and evaluate translated text. We can at least say that translation serves for readers, so inevitably, translators must consider translation acceptable in the process of translation, whether the reader satisfied or not will affect the choices and the applications of translation strategies. The translator follows closely the theory of reception aesthetics proposed by Jauss and set the readers’ expectation based on the characteristic of source text and readers’ level of translated text. In the meantime, the translator starts with a detailed analysis of the source text from the aspects of language and culture, and then applies various translation techniques so as to accommodate the expectations of potential readers to the largest extent. The author hopes to offer material for future English to Chinese translation of art appreciation and provides references for other translators.
