Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section B (2a-2e) 教学设计
一、教材分析:
本单元的阅读语篇围绕卡通片(cartoons)这一电影类型展开,主要谈论一个为学生熟知的美国卡通形象(Mickey Mouse),让学生通过阅读了解卡通片在美国文化中的地位。特别是米老鼠的诞生和成名过程、以及人们喜欢它的原因。
二、教学目标:
1.知识目标:学习并掌握重点词汇:cartoon character, such as, not so..as, appear, one of the main reasons, famous,become…
2.能力目标:通过阅读培养阅读能力,提高阅读技巧。
3.情感态度价值观目标:
了解他人对不同的电影或电视剧的看法,明白不同的人有不同的喜好,从而明确人们喜好的差异性;了解世界其他国家的文化,形成跨文化的意思。
三、教学重难点:
1.教学重点:
1)掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。
2)阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生们的综合阅读能力。。
2.教学难点:了解阅读语篇涉及的一些美国文化,以及一些长句以及语义的深层表达

Step 1 Warming up
Greeting and Introducing
T: Nice to meet you, boys and girls. First, I will introduce myself, I’m … I hope we will have a happy time . Today, we will learn Unit5 Section B 2a-2e

T: Yesterday evening, I watched a cartoon with my little sons, my sons could understand it. Two wolves want to catch a group of goats, and goats try to fight of the wolves. Do you know this cartoon? Do you know the name of this cartoon? Yes, Chinese name is “喜洋洋与灰太狼”. Is it simple?
(教学目的:用大家所熟知的卡通片《喜洋洋与灰太狼》,引出阅读语篇中的生词以及生词组,扫清阅读障碍。)

Step 2 Reading
Pre-reading
T: Yes, it’s very simple. They are cartoon characters, please read after me “cartoon character”
Ss: cartoon character
T: but there are other cartoon characters in this cartoon, such as pretty goat, lazy goat, slow goat and pleasant goat. I think lazy goat is not so pretty as pretty goat. Here “not so…as” means “不如”. How about slow goat? This girl, please.
