ABSTRACT With the development of Chinese urban-construction，the speed of urbanization is becoming more and more rapidly，which cause a serious problem such as the carrying capacity of the urban transport infrastructure cannot satisfy the growing number of urban residents; urban traffic congestion becoming more and more serious as well as travelling more and more difficult. However, with greatly developing in intelligent transportation technology, we can use computer technology for designing and developing a public transportation information System. It is hopefully that by using this system we can locate the buses accurately, manage the bus lines efficiently and optimize the bus line scheduling, we can also improving the utilization of the transport infrastructure. Nowadays, as for the rapid development of wireless communication networks and geographic information systems. It is very necessary important to study about the fast bus location based on a geographic information platform, which has greatly significance. This paper using SOA, SSH, JCS, GIS and other open source technology to design and implement a real-time transport network system. By using different accelerating methods we can locate the bus fast, optimized the process of bus lines arrangement as well as the bus lines searching, the experiments result shows that the efficient of our methods improved significantly. At the meantime we also designed and implemented a cross-platform mobile software based on Android Mobile System, on which we can searching, locating very easily. By combining the mobile system and backend server we had created a software system with multiple types, functions and services to monitoring, searching and managing the transportation network.
