Charlotte’s Feminist Declaration Charlotte Bronte, the writer of the well-known novel Jane Eyre, is considered as an extraordinary woman novelist. So, here I would like to give my introduction of Charlotte’s feminist declaration to you from the perspective of Jane Eyre. The Victorian Age was a period of time that was still male-centered or man-controlled. At that time, women were discriminated against by men. However, the female consciousness of Jane Eyre, the main character of Jane Eyre, challenged men’s authority and encouraged women to fight for their own right and do what they really want to do.
