Purpose 為督導並維持本系博士班研究生（簡稱博士生）之學術水準，特訂定本修業規則。The purpose of establishing the following regulations is to ensure the academic quality attained by the Ph.D. students graduated from this department. 第二條 修業年限Rule 2. Duration of Study 博士生修業年限為二至七年。The minimum duration of study is two years and the maximum duration is seven years. 第三條 獎助學金與義務與兼職Rule 3. Scholarship and Assistantship and Obligation 得依相關規定請領本校助學金及獎學金。A student should follow the related rules to apply and obtain an assistantship or a scholarship. 領取助學金之博士生，有義務擔任本系所安排之助教性質工作，違者將取消請領資格並追回已領取之助學金。A student who obtains an assistantship is obliged to assume a teaching assistant job arranged by the department. Otherwise, the assistantship will be nullified and all the pay given to the student should be returned to the University. 第四條 修課Rule 4. Required Courses 必須修滿十八學分（不含研究專題及書報討論）。A student must obtain at least 18 credits offered by the department, not counting the credits earned from a Special Topics course. 必須修讀並通過本系所開之書報討論課程共四學期。若不及格，在畢業前必須補修完畢。A student must pass the seminar course offered by the department for a total of four semesters. If a student fails a seminar course, the student should make it up before graduation. 修習外系課程者，至多只採計二門課。Credits of at most two courses offered by other departments can be counted as credits toward a Ph.D. degree. 入學研究生須依本校學術研究倫理教育課程實施要點規定，於入學第一學期結束前完成學術研究倫理教育課程，最遲須於申請學位口試前補修完成，未完成本課程，不得申請學位口試。For those graduate students who shall complete Academic Research Ethics Education Course before the end of their first academic semester, they must follow the regu
