A A Design and Implementation of the Data Management System for Marine Environment Monitoring Zhao Caiyun(Information and Communication Engineering) Directed by Prof．Ma Xigeng，Lecturer Li Ligang Abstract For legitimately utilizing marine resources and effectively protecting marine environment，marine environment must be continuously and automatically observed，and also the data observed from the site of marine natural environment should be quickly and efficiently stored，managed，analyzed，processed and shared．With regards to this，according to the actual demand to marine observation data management from manual to computer intelligent of domestic marine environmental monitoring job currently，a suit of practical data management system is designed for marine environmental monitoring．Main contents are as follows． Through analyzing the feature of the marine data,based on considering the capacity, stability and extensibility of database，Oracle 1 09 is selected嬲the system’S database platform．In view of the different usages and acquisition frequencies of the monitoring elements，the storage model of one schema per year is determined，the monitoring data are also audited and counted in real—time，stored according to their sort，and the indexes are created on the tables，SO that the users can access marine data quickly．The status of front-end collectors is monitored and recorded in real·time，warning messages are sent automatically to related managers when abnormal condition occurs．In addition，users，tablespace and datafile ofdatabase ale managed． In Window Server 2003，Delphi7．0 is utilized for designing and developing the module of marine data report．The connection between application program and the database of the central station is completed using ActiveX Data Objects(ADO)．A method which combines the use of Delphi and Office software and uses the component of Timer in Delphi is determined to make the marine data report and edit automatically and manage intelligently, and and the u
