摘要Abstract 摘要 Abstract nle Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Straits has been classified as a leading developing zone in“l l th Five—Year Plan’．It has a unique location advantage towards Taiwan．It is in the Pivotal position ofjoining the Long River Delta Economic Zone and the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone．All these advantages make the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Straits a new pole of economic growth,it plays an active role in the coordinated develop of China’S regional economy．In order to enhance the ability of attract investment,the investment climate of the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Straits is in urgently need to be improved．The paper is based on this point,evaluation and research the investment climate of the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Straits。 On the basis of deep understanding of the theories of investment climate and the scientific achievements which have been researched by domestic and foreign experts，the writer tries to establish a evaluation system including 6 indicators of first class，7 indicators of second class and 34 specific indicators，select the method of factor analysis ●L■rl and cluster analysis by using the SPSS 1 3．0 software，comparative study the investment climate of the 20 cities in the economic zone on the West Coast of the Straits and the 1 6 cities in the economic zone of Yangtze River Delta．Through the research it’s found the compared with the economic zone of Yangtze River Delta,the overail investment climate of the economic zone on the West Coast of the Straits is pooc And in the 6 selected indicators of first class，economic factor,infrastructure factor and administration factor have a greater impact on the investment climate than the other factors．Finally,according to the results of empirical analysis，the writer has made some thoughts in improving the investment climate of the economic zone on the West Coast of the Straits，in order to raise its overall competitiveness． Keywords：the Economic Zone
