The results show that the sea-ice concentration of various seasons all exh ib ited a distinctive linear dencend ing trend in four sectors in the last 50 year, and the decrease in sea-ice concentrationw as fastest in the European sec- tor in spring and summer. The beginning tmi e of the abrupt change of the sea-ice concent ration for var-i ous seasonsw as different, it w as 1970s for spring and summer concentrations wh ile 19 0 s for fall and w inter concentrations.
