Unit3 I’m more outgoing than my sister Teaching Designs (1a-1c) (一). Teaching Aims: 1) Knowledge Objects Students learn to talk about personal traits and how to compare people。 Learn the rules of changing adjectives into comparative degree. Help to use comparative degree to compare two people. 2) Ability Objects To train the students ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To train the students ability of communicative competence. 3) Moral Objects To have students understand people have quite different traits, but they should overcome the bad habits and keep good healthy habits. To encourage students to be brave, honest, kind people. (二)Teaching difficulties and key points: Describe people and objects with the comparative degrees. Teaching process Step1:Lead-in Greetings.(拉近与学生的距离,减少学生的紧张感。) T:I have a sister.Can you guess what she looks like? S1:Does she have big eyes? S2:Is she tall? S3:Is she beautiful? S4:Does she have long hair? S5:Is she fat? (设计此环节,让学生用学过的形容词描绘别人,通过猜我妹妹外表的方式极大地调动了学生的好奇心和用英语表达的兴趣,为后面的新课学习做好铺垫。) Step2:New words(read and repeat) both,loudly,serious,better,outgoing,quietly. (此环节,首先老师带读学生跟读,便于学生模仿语音语调。其次,通过分组朗读,男女交叉朗读,便于培养学生的竞争意识,同时能调动他们学习英语的积极性。) Step3:comparative degrees比较级构成(教材114页) summarize the comparatives. A+ be(v) + 比较级 + than + B. 比较级,要变化,一般词尾加er。 (long-longer) 词尾若有哑音e, 直接加r就可以。 (nice-nicer) 重读闭音节, 单辅音字母要双写。 (big-bigger) 辅音字母若加y, 记得把y变为i。 (happy-happier) 多音节词、部分双音节词词前加more 副词若以ly结尾,前面直接加上more (loudly-more loudly) (通过顺口溜的有趣形式,总结了形容词或副词比较级的规则,减少了语法学习的单调枯燥。) Step4:lb listening (先听大意,再听细节,初步用听的技能获取、处理和传递所需信息。理解文段后,进行听力模仿,感知英语发音特点,提高口语表达水平。) Step5:Presenting 1. ask ss to see the pictures about different stars. then compare some of their things with each other. show some pictures to ss. say they are stars---film stars, sports stars and so on. ask ss to tell what they see. ask ss to use the words: tall, wild, thin, long hair, short hair, heavy, calm, short and so on. 在本活动中通过听说法配合多媒体辅助教学导入新课,进行师生互动活动引出
