The American troops defeated the British at Saratoga (萨拉托加) in Northern New York, which was a turning point of the war. The Treaty of Paris (巴黎条约) was signed, where Britain recognized the independence of the US. The United States Constitution (美国宪法) was ratified (签署生效).
