TEACHING AIDS: Blackboard, computer, word cards. Ⅴ. TEACHING PROCEDURES Step1 Warm-up Lead-in Task1: Greeting Task2: Lead-in: Go over the old knowledge. T leads Ss review some words about clothes in unit five with word cards and other activities. Step2 Presentation Task1: create situation T: (show pictures of Chen Jie and Wu Yifan) Chen Jie and Wu Yifan are going to Australia. What’s the weather like in Australia now? (show picture of winter Australia) Ss: It’s winter in Australia now. It’s cold. T: What do they need for cold weather? Can you make a list? Task2: glove, scarf Ss’ groups show list, and T show “glove” and “scarf” (word cards) T show gloves and scarf in different color. And lead Ss speak out: The gloves are nice. / The scarf is nice. Ss make dialogue about buying glove and scarf. Task3: sunglass, umbrella T: Foreign teachers will come to our school next month. They want to know about the weather. What’s the weather like in Yang county next month? Ss: It’s hot. T: So what do they need? Can you make a list for them? Ss’ groups show list, and T show “sunglass” and “umbrella” (word cards) Ss make dialogue about buying sunglass and umbrella. Step3 Consolidation Task1: Ss read word cards after teacher.
