Abstract
Since DTC (Direct Torque Control) technology was brought out, it was got more attention at once. What it emphasizes is the direct control of torque. Torque and speed responds rapidly, control structure is relatively simple and less dependence on the interior parameters of motor. DTC has perfect robustness, good dynamic and static performance. DTC has became a research hotspot and been applied successfully on some occasions.
Stator resistance voltage drop has much impact on DTC system when the system running at low speed. How to identify stator resistance on-line and effectively and compensate the voltage drop of stator resistance is an urgent problem to solve. And that is studied in this paper.
Working principle and composition of DTC control system were introduced in this paper, through analyzing AC motor mathematical model. Using MATLAB software, DTC model is established. And simulation is carried out when DTC system running at high speeds. The simulation results was proved that DTC system has a good static and dynamic performance. Analyzing motor stator flux model, the influence of stator resistance voltage drop on DTC system is pointed out when the system running at low speeds. The simulation results of low speeds was confirmed that when stator resistance is changed to some extent, the DTC system will be unstable. Thus it is necessary to identify stator resistance on-line.
Some methods of identifying stator resistance are introduced in this paper. And the MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System) theory is proposed to identify stator resistance. According to the simulation experiment results, even the occurrence of non-linear changes of stator resistance, the method can also identify resistance rapidly and accurately on-line. The torque and speed of the new DTC system with stator resistance identification are stable and follow the given values quickly.
