Its construction is more and more widely , dam is increasingly higher, the terrain conditions of dam site is more and more complex and damming material choice is more and more widely. Making the best possible use of soft rock material becomes a hot research. At the same time , the rockfill of CFRD with certain rheological characteristics, especially in the high 200m level CFRD, rheological characteristics has a great influence on the stress and deformation of dam . In addition the earthquake disasters in recent years in our country, because many of the concrete face rockfill dam of high building built in the area of strong earthquakes , so how to avoid damage to the dam under the action of strong earthquake is of crucial importance. Based on the consideration of rockfill rheology effect, the static and dynamic finite element analysis was carried out on the dam body. First, this paper analyzes the engineering characteristic of soft rock material, and introduces its application in the concrete face rockfill dam , The soft rock material is mainly placed in rockfill dam area, minority is placed in the middle position or primary, secondary rockfill zone. Secondly, this paper explains the mechanism of rheological effect. On the basis of that, this paper analyses the currently used rheological model, selects seven parameters model suitable for this application and introduces the implement method of rockfill rheology effects.Then, this paper discusses the principle and method of soft rock construction of concrete face rockfill dam static and dynamic finite element analysis.
