坠!!!!生鲤!!!坚垫!丛塑!!!望!型!!竺!望堕Abstract 坠!!!!生鲤!!!坚垫!丛塑!!!望!型!!竺!望堕 Abstract With the rapid development of Chinese tourism industry,more and more foreign tourists come to China for a visit．AlthouI曲not all foreign tourists are from English—speaking countries，English,as a common language in today’S world，has become the most important medium of communication when international tourist activities are involved in．As a result．tourism English appears as a special variety of English，and becomes popular and necessary in Chinese tourism．Many Chinese students majoring in tourism learned tourism English as a course set by school，a large number of employees in tourism industry start to USe English during working，and more Chinese tourist materials眦translated into English for the benefit of foreign tourists．But it is not always easy to do SO，and many problems exist in using tourism English and especially in tourism English translation because of the specialty of tourism English and the differences between Chinese and English caused by the big gap between Chinese and Western cultures． In this case，the essay firstly aims to expose the language functions of tourism English，and analyze its distinctive features in terms of linguistics and culture，which identifies tourism English as a special variety of English．The detailed study on tourism English itself will be helpful for Chinese to use it well and deal with tourism English translation． Based on E．A．Nida’S translation theory,especially“Functional Equivalence”．the author suggests the translation strategies of tourism English translation by virtue of contrastive study on Chinese and English used for tourism from the respects of linguistic structure，style and culture．Several translation techniques are presented with suitable exanlples to meet the translators’needs of settling the specific problems confronted in tourism English translation as well． Key words： culture，style，tourism English，tourism English translation 婴壁鲤型盥丛坚堂燮!!翌卫Chapter 婴壁
