But in recent years due to excessive pursuit of economic growth and the lack of attention in sericulture culture, the importanee of scriculturc dcvclopment has not been well propagated, which led to Zhenjiang sericulture culture conservation and development is lagging behind. In order to solve the problems existing in the protection and development of the sericulture in Zhenjiang, the paper puts forward some strategy of protection emd development of sericuIture in Zhenjiang, such as: cstablishing rcasonoble plan and powerful propaganda，incrcasing the force of ancient sericulture architecture protection, enhancing sericulture connotations, integrating development of sericulture and tourism industry, construe ting a theme park of sericu ltu re, designi ng and developing tourist products with sericuItural characteristic, strongthening the popular science of sericulture.
