华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract As of today，Chinas private higher education has made great achievements and has made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinas higher education from elite education to mass education, but its development also are existing many problems and facing many challenges. Yet,the private Higher Education occupied almost the half status of the Republic of China’s higher education, from the contribution to the corresponding period of the higher education , the achievements of the Republic of China’s private higher education is equal to even more than now. Therefore, studing the characteristics of the Republic of China’s private colleges, comparing it to todays private colleges and providing some reference, is of important significance. Firstly, the research statuses of the Republic of China’s private colleges are introduced, and on the basis of them, the research methods and ideas are put forward. In chapter II, the school characteristics of the Republic of China’s private colleges were detailly described and analysised,including the niche, management,funding,teacher qualifications,teaching and research,the discipline and professional settings ,and other aspects.In chapter III the reasons that the private colleges in the Republic of China has made such spectacular achievements were analysised from multi-dimensionals and multi-angles, containing the concept,management,teaching,research and the like. Finally, on the grouding of the analysis and research above, the inspiration of the school characteristics of the private colleges in the Republic of China was raised.
