摘 要 19 世纪末中国教会大学伴随着西方殖民主义来到中国，经过 20 世纪初快速发展， 最终于建国后退出中国历史舞台。教会大学将其先进的办学理念带到中国、开创中国 女子教育先河、客观上培养了一批优秀人才，在很多方面具有先进性，对我国近代高 等教育有着积极的影响。但是，传教士起初是本着“中华归主”的思想、为实现中国 的基督教化而来华开办教育的。在民国初期主要体现在其外部管理机构、招生对象、 宗教学科设置等多个方面。因此教会大学对中国近代教育的促进作用是有限的，更多 的是客观产生的而不是其主观目的所在。相对于西方大学，我国近代大学产生较晚， 其产生具有必然性，在很多方面借鉴了西方大学的模式，同时又结合了中国实际，为 近代高等教育做出贡献。对这两类大学进行比较研究，对于客观而准确的认识两类大 学在中国近代高等教育中的作用有着重要的意义。 本文选取了民国成立（1912 年）到 1927 年这段时间内的中国教会大学和国立大 学作为研究对象。主要运用文献研究法和比较研究方法对两类大学进行研究。正文第 一章为前言部分，主要介绍文章的研究目的、方法及创新点。第二、三、四章则是对 两类大学产生的原因、办学特点、大学职能的实施进行了比较分析。当然在不同的大 学之间也会存在着差异，这里所做的主要是对两类大学普遍存在的、较为突出的特点 进行的比较。结语部分则是对前几章的比较进行了归纳总结所得到的结论。 关键词：中国教会大学 国立大学 办学 职能 比较研究 I Abstract In the late 19th century, the Christian colleges came to China along with colonialism. At the beginning of 20th century, the Christian colleges got a fast development, and exit from Chinese history after the founding of new China. The Christian colleges brought the advanced educational philosophy to China, and the foundation of church missionary women school was the beginning of the women education in China. Objectively Christian colleges developed a number of excellent talents for China, those ware advanced in many respects and had a positive effect on higher education in modern China. However, missionary open education with the thought of “Chinese for Christ” at first, and the Christian colleges had a strong aggression color. In the early Republic of China, this aggressiveness was reflected in its internal management mechanism, recruiting object, setting religious disciplines etc. So the Christian college on the role of the modern Chinese education was limited, also played its role more objectively rather than subjectively. Compared with the western universities, Chinese modern universities found later, the origin of these universities was inevitable.
