It is one of the three most important modern financing approaches as well as bank loan, and equity financing. The modern financial leasing of China was appeared by the end of last century, and entered into a prosperous developing period when the banks were first allowed for entry into financial leasing industry in the year 2007. This article discussed the definition and characters of financial leasing, the history and stage of oversea market and that of the domestic market. It is suggested that it is meaningful and necessary to carry out financial leasing business activities for the Pudong Development Bank in order to explore the synergy with banking business so as to make the bank a comprehensive functioning financial platform. It also proposed the potential marketing orientation, business strategy, organization approach as well as risk control measures.
