The Chinese food culture is deeply rooted in Chinas history and it is an inseparable part of its culture and people. Dinning etiquettes, the use of chopsticks, techniques of cooking and cutting show the greatness and popularity of Chinese food culture to the world. During a long period of production and living practice, Chinese nation has made great contribution to the world on the aspects of food resource exploration, food treatment, nutrition and health care, dishware design and cuisine aesthetics. Diversified styles and tastes It is due to the diversity of the climate, products and customs that there are widely different food styles and tastes in local regions. In general, northern pasta and southern rice is a long-term style. China also has the light southern cuisine, the salty northern cuisine, the sweat eastern cuisine and the spicy cuisine. There are eight major culinary schools throughout the nation, each of which boasts its characteristic way of cooking and unique taste. Of them, the most influential and representative ones are the culinary styles of Lu, Chuan, Yue, Min, Su, Zhe, Xiang and Hui. Each culinary style is inseparable from its long history and influenced by geography, climate, resources, specialties and dining habits of each area.
