Finance Department, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin 150000, China) Abstract: This paper analyzed the coupling relationship between tourism industry and urbanization, and constructed the coupling system index system of tourism industry and urbanization. The coupling coordination state of tourism industry and urbanization in Harbin from 2005 to 2014 was analyzed by using the coupled coordination model. The results show that there is a clear coupling relationship between tourism industry and urbanization in Harbin. The comprehensive evaluation values of Harbin tourism industry and urbanization present a rising trend, and the coordination degree of tourism industry and urbanization has achieved the transition from imbalance stage to coordination stage. The conclusions can provide reference for the sustainable development of Harbin, and also have guiding significance for the coordinated development of tourism industry and urbanization in Northeast China and the whole country.
