Background information:
Students: Class7 Grade9
The analysis of Teaching Materials:
Section A in Unit7 talks about what you are allowed to do and you agreement and disagreement on rules. This part focuses on the target language “should (not) be allowed to do”
The introduction of students:
My students are from Grade9, and they have mastered quite a number of words and passive voice. This section is about what you are allowed to do according to rules which can arouse students’ interest because rules are everywhere in our daily lives. So many communicative and situational teaching methods should be used to facilitate the difficulties.
Three dimensional aims: 教学三维目标
1 knowledge aims: Learn the new words: pierce, license, silly, earring and the new sentence pattern : should be allowed to do
语言目标:掌握词汇pierce, license, silly, earring以及句式结构should be allowed to do
2 ability aims : Have students learn to talk about what they are allowed to do and agree or disagree
能力目标:通过情景交际让学生掌握谈论规则的句式结构以及表达自己同意与否的常用表达。
3 emotional aims : Enable students to find rules around us and learn the importance of following rules.
情感目标 : 学生在日常生活中发现规矩无处不在,由此引导学生意识到遵守规则的重要性,没有规矩不成方圆。
Step 1 Warming up lead-in (用生活中的实际例子激起学生对本单元话题的兴趣)
1 Greet to students and warming-up exercise
2 Guide students to know they should obey school rules and rules are everywhere.
Step 2 Presentation (词汇教学,句式介绍,为口语练习做准备)
1 Make a survey on family rules
2 Arouse their interest in other family rules
3 Listen to the record and finish 1b to know Ann’s family rules
4 Lead students to get “should be allowed to do”
Step 3 Spoken English practice (口语练习句式结构,提高学生的参与度)
1 Game : Who is the first to turn the sentences into their OPP

3 Guide students to get the right rules and the reason for it.
