Class description: 50 Chinese students in a junior high school who has just began to study English as a foreign language.
Teaching objectives: 1. Let the students talk about “like and dislike” and know how to answer.
2. Let the students make their own conversations using the main sentences in this unit.
Teaching contents: 1. Learn the main sentence patterns “Do you like?” “Does she /he like…?’’and the answers. Let the students use the main verb “like”.
2. Let the students make conversations by themselves and do some exercises.
Teaching focus: Grasp the main sentence patterns “Do you like?” “Does she like…?’’and the answers. And students can use the main verb “like”.
Teaching difficulties: How to help the students grasp the main sentence patterns.

I will review the words of food in the book. In order to review Countable nouns and Uncountable nouns, I will let students categorize vocabulary words on the screen. This is useful when recording new words for future reference and as a memorization tool. Then I will ask the questions as following:

T: Ok, we have learned three sentences about how to talk about likes and dislikes. Can you remember them?
