Then talk about the pictures in 1a in pairs. Let some students show their answers. Ask and answer the questions in 1b. Act out in pairs. Ask the students, “What things did you use to do when you were a child?” Help them answer, “ I used to be nervous about tests.” Let the students make sentences in pairs and then act out. Did you use to …? Yes, I did. No, I didn’t. I used to like… I didn’t use to like… Step 2 Let the students look at the pictures in 1a and make sentences using Used to. Make their own sentences in 1b. Before listening, let the students read 1c/1d. Then listen to the tape and check the sentences they hear. 1e. Compare yourself with your partner in pairs. Then act out. Step 3 Summarize the important points. Homework Write a composition about what you used to do.
