Teaching Plan
Teaching Aims and Demands:
1. Knowledge and ability objects.
a. Words and phrases: good, afternoon, morning, evening, fine, age, Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening.
b. Target language:
2. Method object in teaching:
listening, reading, pairwork, writing and singing.
3. Moral object:
Encourage every student to communicate each other in everyday English.
4. Teaching key and difficult points:
a. Learn to how greet people in different time,
b. Learn to communicate each other in everyday English,
c. Learn the vowel: /ei /./ ?/./ i: /./ e/.
Teaching Procedures:
step 1. Warm-up
1. Enjoy an English song: “ I could be”.
2. Greet each other.
Step 2. Revision
1. Sing ABC song with PPT.
2. Revise the letters from Aa to Hh.
Step 3. Presentation
1. PPT shows pictures and learn new words: morning, afternoon, evening.
2. Learn the greetings:
A: Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening.
B: Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening.
Step 4. Practice
1. Practice the greetings according to the pictures on PPT,
2. Ss work in pairs, greet each other,
3. Show some groups in class.
Step 5. Listening and practicing (3a and 3b)
1. Let students know the task first them listen to the tape and number the pictures in 3a,
2. Check the answers,
3. Practice the conversation in 3b.
Step 6. Listening (3c)
1. Get Ss to know what to do first,
2. Listen to the conversation and repeat,
3. Learn the target language:
A: Hi, Cindy! How are you?
B: I’m fine, thanks. And you?
A: I’m OK.
Step 7. Pairwork
Practice the conversation in different ways.
1. Choose an English name and them greet each other,
2. Fill in the blanks.
Step 8. Writing (4a)
1. Write down the names and number, get two students to Bb and write down the names, the other Ss write on their book.
2. Check the writing.
Step 9. Listening (4b, 4c and 4d)
1. Get Ss to know the tasks,
2. Listen and repeat to finish 4b, and learn: ei ? i: e
3. Read and practice to finish 4c,
4. Sing the song.
Step 10. Work
