Ability aims To improve the students’ ability of listening. To enable the students to use the new words and sentences to talk about their preferences actively. 3. Moral aims To cultivate the students to like all the subjects and love their life everyday. Analysis of the students: The main topic of Unit 9 is about how to talk about preferences, which is related to our daily life. So it is easy to arouse the students ’learning interests .Besides ,the students has already learned the first 8 units, they has had the basic knowledge of English, so its not hard for them to learn this period. Difficult Key points: 1.Key points To make sure that the students have a good command of the new words and sentences. 2.Difficult points To communicate with each other actively by using the new sentences. Teaching procedures: Step 1 Revision 1. Show some pictures of subjects and review the new words. 2. Ask students to say out the subjects in English as quickly as they can. Step 2 Presentation 1. Lead-in Lead students to introduce themselves with the structure“ My favorite…is…” and explain the word “favorite”.For example :I’m an English teacher. I like English, but I like science best. Then say “I like science best.”means “ my favorite subject is science.”Next ask students this question: What’s your favorite subject? And help students answer: My favorite subject is...
