英语本科毕业论文引注格式及外文翻译要求 外国语学院2010届英语本科毕业论文采用国际通用的MLA（Modern Language Association）引注格式（格式见附件）。外文翻译为英翻汉，具体要求如下：由导师指定学生翻译一篇与自己所写论文密切相关的英文文献，译出的汉字不少于500字。除此之外的其它所有格式要求，请严格参照教务处新发布的《新疆大学本科毕业论文（设计）工作》文件的要求执行。 附件 MLA引用格式 Modern Language Association为美国现代语言协会制定的论文指导格式，在一般书写英语论文时应当使用MLA格式来保证学术著作的完整。 一．文内引用格式 1.直接引用 较短的文献直接引出，其后用括号标出文献出处（作者姓氏 页码），文献出处在句内。大段引用的文献需要重启一行，五号字体，两端各缩进两个字节，其后用括号标出文献出处（作者姓氏 页码），文献出处在句外。参见下例： As to the technique of sex change, Kingston indeed acknowledges that “the fun of changing people’s sex is something I do all the time in my writing” (Hurley 85). But she also asserts: In China Men, I wrote about a man who comes to the land of women, where they bind his feet and they pierce his ears. I wrote about Chinese men who came to America, a land where they had to do women’s work, laundry and restaurant work. (Hurley 85) Kingston’s intention is clear, and her target is not men but social and racial injustice. 2. 间接引用 在间接引用的文献后用括号标出文献出处（作者姓氏 页码），文献出处在句内。参见下例： According to Kingston, they were originally conceived and planned as one piece of an interlocking story about the lives of men and women. Aware that the women’s stories appear as a unity and afraid that men’s would be anti-female and undercut the feminist viewpoint, she collected and published the women’s stories in the The Woman Warrior in 1976, and published the men’s stories in China Men a year later (Kim 207). 另外，如果文献作者已经出现在文中，则可以省略括号内的作者姓氏，只保留页码。参见下例： As Suzanne Juhasz elucidates, searching for a self and a place reflects the two aspects of the search for home and gender identify and national identity can be versions of one another (174). 如果在正文中引用了同一作者的多部作品，就在括号内“作者姓氏”的右上角上标阿拉伯数字以示区别，如：（作者姓氏1 页码），并在参考文献部分保持相应的数字。 二．参考文献格式 参考文献部分一律用英文“Works Cited”为题头，作者姓名采用姓前名后著录法，按作者姓氏的字母顺序排列，英文文献在前，中文文献在后。英文文献采用五号Times New Roman字体，中文文献采用五号宋体，按著者/题名/出版事项顺序排列，具体示例如下： 1. 书籍 著者．书名. 版次（第一版不标注）．出版地：出版者，出版年． 1） 独著 Booth, Wayne.
