Read and learn the words and the expressions. Ask students to try reading and then follow the teacher to read. Read by themselves and try to memorize the pronunciation and the meanings first. 2) Ask Ss : Do you love you hometown?Were you born in your hometown -the city of Rizhao? How long have you been living in Rizhao? Emphasize the meaning of how long andlive in ,then give them the teachers answer: I have been living in Rizhao for more than 30 years. Say, in this unit we’re going to talk about how long we’ve been doing things .Then help the Ss try answering the question according their reality: I have been living in Rizhao for 15 years.
