Analysis of the student. In lesson 8, we learned the Jenny’s project, Jenny talked the Silk Road and Marco Polo. And we learned the grammar -the simple present. Step 2. Lead in.(引入) Learn the new words first, teach twice, make sure the Ss can read the words and phrases correctly, then ask several volunteers to act out the dialogue in Lesson 9. Step 3. New lesson.(新课) Text: No. 1 part 1 Look at the picture at the top of page, who is this? What is he doing? And what is he holding? No. 2 part 2 Look at the picture at the middle of page, who is this? What is he doing? And what is he holding? No. 3 part 3 What is Danny doing? What is he wearing? No. 4 teacher explain the text in Chinese, and point out the points. At last, ask the Ss read the passage. No. 5 Grammar: Simple Past Tense, Regular and Irregular Verbs. build—built guess—guessed Step 4. Play the tape for the Ss to follow. Make the Ss listen the text, then let them read follow the tape. Step 5.Summary. (小结) Sum up the text, Danny’s project. The grammar: Regular and Irregular Verbs. Step 6. Homework.(作业) Finish the activity book and the practice, copy the words. Step 7.
