Unit 2 Topic 1 You should brush your teeth twice a day
教学目标
知识与技能
1. 能正确运用以下短语进行书面表达:feel terrible, have the flu, take some medicine, have a good rest等。
3. 能听懂有关日常小病的名称、对病人的关心询问及提建议的话题.
3. 能熟练地运用sb had better (not) do sth 和Why don’t you…? 针对日常小病提建议。
过程与方法
1. 巩固学生根据图片猜单词意思的能力。
2. 巩固学生模仿已有例句造句的能力。

教学要点
教学重点
1.have a cold, have a fever, have a cough, have a headache, have a toothache, have a backache, have a stomachache等短语的理解及运用。
2.正确地运用sb. had better (not) do sth 和Why don’t you…? 提建议。
教学难点
1. 就日常小病用英语提建议。
2. 理解How long have you been like this ?
教 学 内 容
Step 1 Revision
Revise different kinds of illnesses and give some suitable advice with should or shouldn’t
T: What’s wrong with…? /What’s the matter?
S1: I have a backache.
S2: You should…
T: Yes. He/She had better….
The teacher explains the usage of had better or had better not.
Step 2 Pre-listening
1.Present and learn the following verb phrases: (1)lie down /have a rest
(2)Drink lots of boiled water
(3) drink cold water (4)work too long
(5) eat too much candy (6)eat hot food
2. Do 3. work in pairs and make up conversations with the phrases in the boxes
Step 3 while-listening
T: Who are they?
Ss: They are…
T: Bruce doesn’t look well
Listen to 1a and do1b. Choose the correct answers.
Watch the flash of 1a and do 1c.then check the answers.
Listen to 1a again and fill in the blanks according to 1a.
Listen to1a and repeat .The teacher explains the difficult points:
feel terrible
(2) take some medicine
(3)take sb to sw
(4) have the flu
(5) How long have you been like this?
Step 4 After- listening
Do 2.Number the sentences to make up a conversation similar to 1a.Check the answers. The teacher explains: feel like doing Why don’t you do
not so well
Listen to 4a and 4b.
Homework:
1.Copy and recite the new words and 1a in this section.
2.Finish off the exercises in the workbook.
3.Preview section C
