The 23rd Annual Conference November 14, 2015 Atlanta, Georgia 美東南玉山科技協會2015年會 Introduction of MJSTASE 美東南玉山科技協會簡介 Brief History Named after Monte Jade, the highest mountain in Taiwan, the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association was founded by a group of high-tech Chinese-American executives in Silicon Valley, California in February 1990. The organization, subsequently known as Monte Jade West Coast, became a model for other regional chapters bearing the name ‘Monte Jade’, including Southeastern United States, formed in Atlanta, Georgia on January 16, 1993. Missions • To promote entrepreneurship in advanced science and technology • To establish a common forum to network and share best practices in investment, technology, management and businesses opportunities • To create opportunities for the cooperation and mutual flow of technology and investment globally 緣起 玉山科技協會是以臺灣最高峯「玉山」而命名，取其高瞻遠矚，源遠流長，光明皎潔和科 技崇高之意。這個協會，是由華裔科技專業人才和相關廠商鑑於產業科技瞬息萬變，廠商 間競爭激烈，亟需匯集華人力量，因而聯手創立本會，致力於聯合科技企業，以加速華裔 在科技實業上的創造和發展。第一個玉山協會於一九九〇年二月在矽谷創立，期藉由互助 合作的關係，彼此能交換資訊，拓展商業機會，共策前程。目前已有八個玉山協會組成， 遍佈北美各地，並且組成了聯會，以推動科技、資金、資訊和市場的整合來協助華裔進行 科技創業和投資。本地區的美東南玉山科技協會於一九九三年一月於亞特蘭大成立。 宗旨 • 研討投資經營的共同問題，協助華裔在美洲或在國內進行科技創業 • 促進會員間的溝通與合作。掌握商情，交換創業情報 • 促進臺灣與美國之間的技術與投資合作 3 The 23rd MJSTASE Annual Conference 2015 has been a special year for Monte Jade, and I am proud and privileged to be chairperson of the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association Southeastern US this year.
