This is the book that\which I bought yesterday. 2. He is the boy whose mother is a doctor. 3. I don’t know the reason why he was late yesterday. who 指人，在句子中充当主语。 He is the man who teaches us Japanese. Do you know the boy who cried last night? whom 指人，在句子中充当宾语。 Do you know the boy whom I talked about? He is the person whom you are looking for. which 指物，在句子中充当主语、宾语。 This is the book which cost me 100 yuan. This is the book which I spent 100 yuan. whose 指人，在句子中充当定语。与所修饰的先行词有从属关系。 He is the boy whose mother is a teacher. He is the poor man whose house caught fire last night. that 指人或物，在句中充当主语或宾语。可以代替who,whom,which。 This is the book which\that I like best. The girl who\that called me is my sister. The girl whom\that I called is my sister. when 表时间状语，先行词为表时间的名词。 He came last night when I was out. I still remember the time when I first came here. where 表地点状语，先行词为表地点的名词。 This is the room where I lived years ago. The place where he will go is very far away. why 表原因状语，先行词只有reason。 Do you know the reason why he was late? 以下情况一定要用that 1、名词前有形容词最高级、序数词 The tallest boy that sits in the room is my brother. I am the first person that came to school this morning . 2、名词前有the same 、the very、the only He is the only person that can help us. The girl is the very person that you need. This is not the same bag that you gave to me. 3、名词既指人又指物。 He was watching the children and parcels that filled the car. 4、定语从句前是all、something 等不定代词。 All that glitters is not gold.
