One possible version: That day was important. It was Spring Festival. The whole family had been preparing for it for a long time. To celebrate special occasion my family had many activities. On the new year’s Eve morning, I woke up early with joy and excitement. I put on my new red dress . When I went downstairs to help my mom, she was already in the kitchen preparing Spring Festival’s lunch. Meanwhile, my dad wrote some copies of Chinese Fu, meaning good luck, which is a tradition in my family. After I helped my mom with housework, my father and I gave Fu characters and couplets to our neighbors, an act of spreading fortune and happiness. Just before lunch time, my grand parents, my cousins, my uncles and aunts gathered at my home to celebrate Special Festival. Our family had a big feast, and we chatted what had happened in the past year and made new year’s resolutions and sent best wishes to each other. In the evening, we made dumplings together. We also put a coin in one of dumplings.The person who ate it would have the best luck the next year. After dinner, my family set off fireworks and the whole sky was lightened. What a brilliant moment! Spring Festival is synonymous with reunion and warmth. I’m looking forward to the next one！
