Ask students to look at the photos about Amy and Jack and discuss the following questions: What is he/she like? Can you guess what he/she likes? II. Introduce the learning content to the students: They are going to read a passage about living habits and different lifestyles. Pre-reading I. Present some new words on the slide. Tell students their meanings and pronunciations. II. Present the following expressions on the slide, and ask students to tell which are healthy lifestyle or unhealthy lifestyle: have breakfast go jogging often eat popcorn and fast food do outdoor activities Reading practice (1) I. Ask the students to skim the passage on Page 29, and try to answer the following questions. What does Amy have for breakfast? Does Jack often play sports? Give the students some advice about reading skills. II. Play the tape. Ask students to read after the tape and underline the important words and phrases. Explain their meanings to students. III. Ask students to read the form in Activity ②, and then ask them to fill in the form according to their understanding. Ask some students
