Main plot: It’s a musical about a young religious non(修女) working as a governess(女家庭教师） who brings music and happiness to a large family.22-year-old Maria is a sister in Salzburg convent（女修道院）, but she always gets into trouble because of her character that is lively and active. Dean mother(修道院院长) thought she was not fit to be a sister, so she decided to send Maria to Captain Von Trapp’s home and made her find the real goal of life. When Maria arrived at captain’s home, she found captain was strict with his seven children. And she also knew why all teachers left. Because children made fun of teachers in order to attract their father’s attention. However, captain demanded Maria to treat his children like him. But Maria didn’t do like that, her gentle and kind-hearted manner won children’s friendliness. Later, captain left home. During the time, Maria played with children and taught them to sing. Children also became happier than before. When captain came back, he invited uncle mike and his girlfriend to his house. Children played puppetry (木偶戏) for them. Captain found music came back his home again and was infected by Maria. Several days later, captain held a ball. When captain and Maria danced together, their love was obvious. Baroness(男爵夫人） saw this and she said Maria should go back to convent. So Maria left. After Maria left, all things changed. Children wanted Maria to come back, so they went to convent to meet Maria.
