Book 1 Unit3 Sports and Fitness Reading for Writing Lesson Plan According to my comprehension of curriculum standard and teaching materials, I made the following teaching aims. Teaching aims a) Language ability To help Ss master some important words, phrases and sentences patterns. Such as make a difference, rather than, cut…out, now and then, compare with/to. To help Ss write a short passage about changes in health in ways that compare similarities and differences. b) Cultural awareness Encouraging Ss to take part in sports and form proper health awareness and habits. c)Thinking quality To develop Ss ability of understanding, application, analysis and creativity in process of writing a short passage. d) Learning ability To help Ss summarize Kayla’s changes in health by learning and analyzing the language material——GOING POSITIVE. And apply this writing methods to their writing task. Teaching methods Task- based teaching method and communicative teaching method will be used to create a Ss centered classroom atmosphere. It is to be created to increase Ss talking time and the teacher acts as a guide. So, the Ss can learning something about doing, and doing something about learning.
