Then ask them to talk about him. The Ss watch the video and guess the meaning of basketball terms. Draw the Ss’ attention and make them interested in the topic. Show the Ss the task: Suppose Stephon Marbury is coming to BNDS Lecture Room, and the Ss are the host or hostess. They need to briefly introduce him before his speech. The Ss get involved in the task. Create a situation in order to get the Ss more involved in the task and more motivated to spot information from the passage. Step 2 While- reading Ask the Ss to read for the first time, and find out what the passage is about and what aspects can be included in the opening remarks. Guide the Ss to share with the whole class. Ask the Ss to read again individually and note down the key words. Guide the Ss to share with his/her partner and the rest of the class. 1.
