教材分析

学生特点:高一起点学生,有一定的英语学习热情,学生英语水平存在差异。已经学过北师大版模块一第二单元以及我校校本教材上的两篇关于英雄人物的文章,对于相关的词汇表达有一定的了解。
教学重点:训练学生从长文本中提取任务相关信息并做简要笔记。
教学难点:训练学生提取信息进行归纳并做相关推断。

Step 1
Lead-in
Ask the Ss to look at the pictures of basketball stars and watch a clip about Marbury. Then ask them to talk about him.
The Ss watch the video and guess the meaning of basketball terms.
Draw the Ss’ attention and make them interested in the topic.
Show the Ss the task:
Suppose Stephon Marbury is coming to BNDS Lecture Room, and the Ss are the host or hostess. They need to briefly introduce him before his speech.
The Ss get involved in the task.
Create a situation in order to get the Ss more involved in the task and more motivated to spot information from the passage.
Step 2

Ask the Ss to read for the first time, and find out what the passage is about and what aspects can be included in the opening remarks.
Guide the Ss to share with the whole class.
Ask the Ss to read again individually and note down the key words.
