And the author makes a preliminary study on the architectural characteristics of the modern Catholic church in the south-central region of Hebei。 The existing Catholic churches in the region were built between 1840 and 1937 which belong to the modern era of China. Based on the collection and analysis of Catholic in the south-central region of Hebei province， this paper summarizes the route of Catholicism in south-central region of Hebei province， and researches the importance of the lazarists in the Catholic communication on the recent history of China， this paper summarizes the process of the foreign churchs acquisition of building rights， and the distribution status of the author conducts field survey and mapping of existing churches， and coults relevant information with church related peonnel， and then analyzes and textual research on this basis。 In this paper， the author analyzes， compares and summarizes the cotruction stages，architectural group style characteristics， urban pattern and scale， group layout and building monomer research.
