Follow these steps to rebuild the flow cell: • Purging the Flow Cell • Removing the Flow Cell Assembly • Rebuilding the Flow Cell • Re-installing the Flow Cell Assembly Parts Required There are two Rebuild kits available. The 10-mm Rebuild kit is used to rebuild the Analytical, Inert and Mass Spec flow cell assemblies. The 3-mm Rebuild kit is used to rebuild the Semi- Prep and Microbore Flow Cells. • Cell gasket kit (10 gaskets), WAS081348 • 10-mm Flow Cell Rebuild Kit, WAS081346 • 3-mm Flow Cell Rebuild Kit, WAS081347 Tools Required • 1/4-inch flat-blade screwdriver, WAT272058 • Torque wrench set to 128 in-oz (or 8 in-lb) with 1/4-inch flat-blade screwdriver • Tweezers • Powder-free finger cots or latex gloves • Lint-free swab • Methanol • Nitrogen Precautions 1. To avoid the possibility of exposing your eyes to ultraviolet radiation, turn off the detector while performing the following maintenance. 2. To prevent contamination, use finger cots or powder free latex gloves when touching the flow cell lenses or window. 3. Take care to prevent scratching of the flow cell parts. 4. Use a clean non-particulating cloth or a similar clean surface to work on when removing, rebuilding, and replacing the flow cell. Rebuilding the 2489 Flow Cell REV.
