定语从句的相关概念

1.定语从句：在复合句中修饰名词或代词的从句

形容词作定语

句子作定语，修饰girl,叫做定语从句

2.先行词：被修饰的名词或代词

先行词关系词定语从句

关系代词

which,who,whom,that

关系代词的判断步骤

·1.辨别先行词

·2.确定关系代词(即先行词在从句中担任的成分)

·3.确定关系代词的人称和数(定语从句主谓一致)

注意：定语从句的时态和语态都不受主句的限制。

关系代词的用法

关系代词在从句中可以：

何时可以省略?

做宾语时可以省略

要注意的问题一：

1.Isthereanything.thatyouwant

tobuyinthetown.

2.Allthatwecandoistostudyhard.

3.Thefirstonethatstandsupisalittleboy.

注：下列情况只能用that

√序数词或最高级修饰先行词时

Thisisthefirstbook.thathehasread.

Itisthemostbeautifulcitythat_Iveeverseen.√all,everything,nobody等不定代词作先行词时

Iamsureshehassomethingthatyoucanborrow.

√当先行词有theonly,thesame修饰时：

√当先行词即指人又指物时
