ThisstandardisissuedunderthefixeddesignationF1936;thenumberimmediatelyfollowingthedesignationindicatestheyearoforiginaladoptionor,inthecaseofrevision,theyearoflastrevision.Anumberinparenthesesindicatestheyearoflastreapproval.Asuperscriptepsilon(e)indicatesaneditorialchangesincethelastrevisionorreapproval.

Scope

ThisspecificationcoversatestmethodandmaximumimpactattenuationforalltypesofinstalledturfplayingsystemsforNorthAmericanfootball.

Itisrecognizedthatlaboratorytestingresultsoftenreflectoptimumconditionswhichmaynotcorrespondtotheactualsiteconditions.Therefore,amethodoftestingalongwithamaximumforimpactattenuationofinstalledsyntheticturfplayingsystemsisaddressedherein.
