ThisstandardisissuedunderthefixeddesignationF1561;thenumberimmediatelyfollowingthedesignationindicatestheyearoforiginaladoptionor,inthecaseofrevision,theyearoflastrevision.Anumberinparenthesesindicatestheyearoflastreapproval.Asuperscriptepsilon(e)indicatesaneditorialchangesincethelastrevisionorreapproval.

Scope

Theserequirementsestablishnationallyrecognizedper-formancerequirementsforClassA(residential)andClassB(nonresidential)plasticchairsintendedforoutdooruse.

Theserequirementsdonotaddressconditionsthataffecttheperformanceofthechairbeyondthemanufacturingsite.

Theserequirementsarenotapplicabletochaises,mul-tipositionalchairs,upholsteredchairs,orothertypesoffurni-ture.

Theserequirementscoverthephysicalperformanceofproductregardingtheaspectsofoutdoorweathering,impact,staticload,andrearlegtesting.

Productsmaybemanufacturedfromrecycledplasticsaslongastheperformancerequirementsaremet.

Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
