Network English, identical to neither speech nor writing, but selectively and adaptively displays properties of both, is a third medium which is electronic, global and interactive. The use of Network English should be governed by netiquette.Network English is based on the Internet and evolving with its growth. The Internet has brought great changes to people’s life and language changes reflect the tendency as a result. No other word has become part of people’s lives so quickly or has such an impact. The Internet has swept into the English vocabulary and given birth to such a wide array of new words and phrases that it has come to represent a historical era of change. The Internet as well as computer has also created a new use of the existing words which have been used by speakers and writers of English for hundreds of years. Besides, the development of the Internet makes communicative language more vivid and in with the involvement of emoticons, netcronyms and so on.
